Professor West is the Faculty Department Chair of Computer Information Systems and Cybersecurity at Coastline College and teaches cybersecurity and computer networking courses. Professor West focuses on the development of education pathways for students to achieve their goals to become cybersecurity professionals. She enjoys organizing CyberTech Girls events and GenCyber Girls camp activities for middle school and high school girls to develop their interest in cybersecurity and technology. Professor West also assists with coordination of the Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program for Coastline College students to help build the cybersecurity workforce and to help apprentices prepare for careers in cybersecurity.
